So evidently nursing school is really busy.
We're wrapping up our first full semester this week and next. One final down, two to go! Where did the time go? It is so hard to believe that 79 days ago was our first day of class. We were thrown into a whirlwind mini-term, followed by a whirlwind summer. It is AMAZING how much you can learn and grow in 79 days, let me tell you. And those people who tell you nursing school is hard? They are right.
But, in spite of the difficulty and the stress and the insane schedule, I am truly loving it. I love Fridays, because that means I'm in the hospital working with a real patient and learning to DO what I now, without a doubt, know I am called to do. And to be honest, I love class. I love learning and being asked to think in new ways about things that 79 days ago I didn't even knew existed. We have amazing faculty at Baylor who know their stuff and want our success almost more than we do. It is truly the hardest thing I've ever done academically thus far in my life, grad school included. But knowing that in just 281 more days I will receiving my nursing pin and embarking on an amazing career? Totally worth it. And that's exciting.
I would talk about something else, but honestly there is nothing else to talk about for the moment. To all my friends and family who are patiently putting up with my stress and exhaustion and tears and falling asleep 5 minutes into any movie... thank you for being there for me, even when I study flash cards over dinner. Aside from God's grace, your support is what carries me from day to day when things start to get crazy. Only nine more months!!
OK, back to my case studies. The end.
